On any given Thursday throughout the summer months there’s a new club taking over Kaiku, taking its cues from early the early noughties with an emphasis on the sleazier sides of the indie music of the era. Think a wonderful mess of the best pop tunes from the past 20 or so years, FREE entry (excl. the 3,90 € security fee), smudged eyeliner, French electro and a lot of fuzz, all of your friends on that top-tier terrace in the breezy summer night, lo-fi and high fun, like someone just decided that your living room now has a drink offer on Seltzers (yes, 3€ between 22:00–23:00). Not just some nostalgia trip, to be sure, it is also about what is happening right now, and that is this: you, me, and everyone else going out on Thursday the 4th of June to Kaiku to celebrate that there’s about a hundred days of summer ahead of us. Better change the batteries on your digital camera and let’s go. Catering for your musical pleasure on the first night are lunawil, DJ HLB, and DJ Digipokkari.
