Let’s celebrate the beginning of the summer together!
All categories run under the same theme, which is summer and sunshine, so come and enjoy the summertime with us! Bring us your summer feeling and get inspiration from the summer in all categories.
Tickets
Spectators: 15 € + 3,50 € security fee (+ 1 € commission for advance tickets)
Participants (who walk the Ball): 8 € + 3,50 € security fee (+ 1 € commission for advance tickets)
Spectator Special Ticket: 8 € + 3,50 € security fee (+ 1 € commission for advance tickets) The whole Ballroom culture has started from the actions of BIPOC trans people. Queer BIBOC and trans people have some special price tickets reserved.

POLICY
Ballroom scene is a safe space for LGBTQIA+ community. It was started by African-American and Latinx LGBTQIA+ communities in New York. All visitors are expected to respect and celebrate the Ballroom culture and its roots.
If you are not from this community, please be mindful of the space you take up. Respect the performers and the space of the performers. If you would like to participate, to walk the Ball, take some time beforehand to learn what it means. If you need any help before or during the Ball, just ask, and we will help you.
Accessibility and safer space
DTM is a completely accessible venue. Your personal assistant or interpreter will get in for free. An accessible toilet is in the club’s main restroom. Our staff is here to help you, so please do not be afraid to ask if you have any questions! To plan your visit, you may contact us by email at safety@dtm.fi.
There are gender neutral toilets.
You can be yourself. Let’s not assume anything about other people. If something uncomfortable happens, please inform the organizers.
Please respect everyone’s boundaries. If you take photos/videos, please make sure you have consent from everyone visible in the photos/videos before posting the material online.
We hope that everyone will respect nature and make sustainable choices when preparing for the Ball. If you are not a BIPOC person, be mindful of the presentation you are bringing. Learn what cultural appropriation means.

BALLROOM VOCABULARY
OTA - Open to all genders/sexualities
FF (Female figure) – trans woman, drags, cis woman / female figure
MF (Male figure) – Butch queens, transgender men, butch women, cis man / male figuers
FQ (Fem queen) – A Woman of trans experience
BQ (Butch queen) – a person identifying as male who likes to be with other males
Non-Binary - The umbrella term covering all gender identities and expressions outside the gender binary.
Lion Babe - Non-Binary and FF (studs/butch)
Cat boy - Male figures presenting softer energy
GP – Grand Prize
Shade – To throw attitude and indirect insults
Effect – Outfit/Look
10’s (tens) – If you get your 10’s from that first round, you will continue to the battles.
Chop – Being cut from a category. Getting chopped means you are not ready to advance to the battles of that category.
