Hana-levynjulkaisukeikka

Hana on Karin Mäkirannan ja Selma Savolaisen duo, joka inspiroituu ambientista, lauluharmonioista ja jazzstandardeista. Hana julkaisi Hangossa äänitetyn livelevyn helmikuussa 2024. Tenhossa viettettävä levynjulkaisukonsertti on duon toinen esiintyminen sitten vuoden 2018.

Two space cadets based in Helsinki, Finland. Making alternative, improvised synth soundscapes inspired by techno, planets and cool fx pedals. Combined with the repertoire of the Great American Songbook Hana brings in wild vocal layering and haunting performances.

Hana is a duo of two renowned composers Karin Mäkiranta and Selma Savolainen. Two second generation music-makers share the same childhood heritage of knowing the Great American Songbook by heart. Karin and Selma dive into the abyss to discover what’s at the core of classic repertoire such as Body & soul, I thought about you and All of me.

Their debut album is a carefully structured space odyssey built from live played sessions at Hanko manor during the past five years.
